Valentine to Easter Gift Flip...

If you've been following along for a while, you'll know that I am not one for a last minute gift dash.

By the time the Valentines gifts are appearing on the shelves in mid January, mine are already created, loved, packaged and sealed with a kiss.

Likewise when everyone else is madly buying red and white stuff for Valentines Day, I'm itching for Valentines Day to be over, so I can raid the Clearance shelves for pretties to make over into Easter or Birthday gifts!

I spotted these little heart shaped bath fizzies today, and just knew that their size made them ideal for Easter gifting from The Diva to her friends. If there's one thing teens love, it's a good bath fizzie.

For this project, you need heart shaped fizzies, chocolates or candy, some confectionery foil (available on eBay or a Party Supplies and Hobby warehouses), some little bags or jars to hold them, ribbon, and sweet vintage Easter themed images.

Cut the foil into little squares, large enough to re-wrap the fizzies or chocolates. Remember that the foil is coloured on one side, and matte silver on the other, so in reality you're getting two colours for the price of one. I like a mixture of both sides.

Paste your pretty vintage images to the front of your bags or jars, fill with the rewrapped goodies, and embellish with lavish bows. I used tulle, velvet, and organza, in pastel shades.

These were $8 for a jar of 25, and I know that on Monday, they'll be more like $2, so I'll be snaffling some more then!

A very pretty gift, for next to nothing, by thinking ahead, and using a bit of imagination
