I re-read Sarah's book these holidays and it's such an insight into life in India. We just have no idea.
Those that think they do it tough here in Australia, perhaps need some perspective.
Sarah McDonalds' book "Holy Cow (An Indian Adventure)" is a good place to start.
We are indeed very fortunate to live in Australia and it is good for us to take note of what people in other countries go through in their daily lives. We need to be grateful for what we have and do what we can to help others less fortunate.

DeleteYes the poor in this world can teach us so much. I am always brought crashing back to earth when watching a program of how the poor exist, especially in places like India. They survive with barely the basics, and here we are with so many choices, it is so sad really.
