I also had to wait until I knew I could do this uninterrupted. That was difficult with a disabled teenager and a toddler. But now that I'm at a different stage of life, I have my uninterrupted times to make soap to my hearts content. You'll find your moment in time too. It's not expensive once you're set up with all the equipment, and when one batch costs about $15-$20 and gives you 22 bars of soap, well...how can you go wrong? And hand crafted soap is always a welcome gift! You won't regret it! It is just the most glorious thing. And of course with your endless supply of rose petals and rose buds, you have the embellishments all ready to go. I've used wooden wine gift boxes as moulds too. You get them at the larger liquor barns for around $10-$20. It's really a matter of being imaginative when you're looking for something. Loaf pans are good, as are other inside bits of the fridge, like the egg tray with the rings that the eggs sit in removed, shoe boxes, gift boxes and so on. I know you're going to love making these! And yes, it's not scary once you get the hang of it. It's just taking that first step! I love it and it isn't all that hard to make although some people are a bit scared of making it but if they make sure to freeze the milk first they should be fine. I have never seen anyone line their moulds with kitchen towels. Very interesting :-) Nanna Chelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07500527266771727074noreply@blogger.com
