A nice tablecloth and napkins which match the china, pretty silverware, and a well presented homecooked meal go a long ways when it comes to bonding a family together. I live in a forest in Southern Appalachia (USA) and it is snowing as we speak. My china is British Castles Pink and the teapot is filled with ginger tea. Tonight we will dine on hot roasted vegetables and a roast pork with garlic and brown mustard.Jazzgirl205https://www.blogger.com/profile/17477490246748899079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7492903313028603031.post-54378437600906751612016-03-04T03:44:42.625+10:002016-03-04T03:44:42.625+10:00Such a great post! :)

I love pretty table settings, not created for a photo shoot (although those are nice too) but for loved ones, decorated with belongings that hold memories. Even a simple meal can be made special this way. Your things are lovely, and I especially love the charm of mismatched pieces :) With love, KelseyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7492903313028603031.post-54734846013844317042016-02-25T05:48:46.578+10:002016-02-25T05:48:46.578+10:00Lovely post and such great advice.. The cutlery is from the 1970's and has roses on it - could not resist.

My best pieces are the sideboard - found in an oldwares shop for the princely sum of $250-. When the mission brown paint was removed the value escalated. The other piece is a crystal water set that belonged to a great uncle - never been used but it is going to.

Lynette
XXXXAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7492903313028603031.post-91717342391792613682016-02-24T14:40:59.795+10:002016-02-24T14:40:59.795+10:00Nice silverware with nice food is just NICE!Nice silverware with nice food is just NICE!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
